#P90X Day 44: Plyometrics kicks your butt, your legs, everything.

The Airborne Heisman...tough or not-so-tough?
Last night’s foray into Plyometrics was definitely the best yet. Right now, my goal is to stay at Dom’s pace (the dude in the back). He’s a beastly leg master. This time I was pretty successful. I’ve spoken before about how I can hit the double times for the High Knees and Rock Star Hops. Last night I hit the double times for the Mary Kathrine Lunges! BEASTLY! My legs were freaking out afterwards. I think the next move from that is the side to side frog lunges and I was just barely able to squeak those out, as my legs were in flames.
My next Plyo attempt, I’m going to try and stick with Dom and do the entire 2nd Rock Stop Hop set double time. I hope to get to a place where I can do all High Knees, Rock Star Hops and Mary Kathrine Lunges double time. Wouldn’t that be just friggin sweet?! You bet.
I checked my HR after all my double times and each time it was around 96% which is 186/187 BPM for you kids counting at home.
Here’s something I noticed for the first time in a Plyo workout. Last night was the first time where I felt like both Airborne Heisman moves actually did something. I’ll be honest – even doing those moves correctly I felt like they were far less intense than the rest of the Plyo moves. What do you cats think? Was I just doing them wrong?
I was really pleased yet again with my Plyo success. I think I love this workout more than the rest. Call me a glutton for punishment, I dunno. I just love working legs.
I’m 1 day away from 1/2 way through the course. Today’s Back & bicep workout will be #45. I read online how so many people seem to bail after one month of the workout. Makes me sad. I feel like this 2nd month has shown even stronger gains as I’ve continued to push myself with the same intensity that I started Day 1 with.
I feel like Phase 3 is just gonna be amazing. And once I am done w/ P90X altogether, what then? Should I do Insanity? Should I do P90X+? The sky really is the limit. I thought about getting back into my running and biking that I did last spring. I was outdoor all the time and loved it. I know if I confine myself indoors during this gorgeous weather, I’ll regret it.
We shall see…..
